SoufSide and Prince Charming

The GS Boyz (explicit G-Spot Boyz), emerged onto the Pop/ Rap scene in 2005, as five new young artist, Prince Charming (Matthew Griffith), SoufSide (Telson Flowers), Slizz (Keithian Cherry), Marc D (Marcus Dinkins), and DK (Decory Kenner).With regional success of hits, “Hit the G-Spot”, “Twisted”, “He Don’t Deserve You”, and “First Time”, ultimately lead to the 2009 Debut Single “Stanky Legg” as part of the Dallas “D-Town” Boogie Scene. Receiving great notoriety and being able to travel across the U.S., by March 2010 there stood only two, SoufSide and Prince Charming. Accepting the opportunity that God had blessed them with and ready to move forward with their careers these two guys felt a lack of ambition and drive from the other three members and therefore decided to separate themselves and roll “2 Deep”. Now re-emerging into the hip hop industry as a duo, SoufSide and Prince Charming have a whole new story to tell from a new standpoint.

SoufSide, the youngest of the duo, 19 yrs old, but you would never know by his opinionated stance of the world and of the entertainment industry. Born in Amarillo, TX and moved to Dallas, TX at the age of 5 SoufSide grew up with a rough child hood to say the least. School seemed to never be a real focus of his, and similar to most young African American men SoufSide was slowly approaching the wrong path. To this day “I am still a work in progress”, but with time this young man will be everything that embodies greatness. Progress did not seem to be in the near future until the day that SoufSide met Prince Charming in the mall.

Prince Charming, (21), stands out with locks hanging shoulder length and the previous leader of the GS Boys creating the dance (Stanky Legg) that inspired the hit record that would help strengthen the Dallas dance movement. Born and raised in New York until 9yrs of age, Prince has been inspired by many of the great movements that have come from New York. For instance the original Bay Boy movement that had the world in awe is something that has Prince so driven to make sure that he stays hungry for this industry. Now branching out as a duo and re-branding their image the hunger that they once had has doubled and they understand the strength and faith that they must put in God.

Together as a duo these two guys are so in sync. Although each have their own views on life and what they want to accomplish individually, the dreams of Soufside and Prince Charming as a duo are one. They have both agreed that “the next step will be a great step”, in their career. Being apart of film is their next aspiring goal, and with these two huge personalities this dream is not far fetched. With their career still in its early stages their main focus is to remain humble and remember where they came from.

Prince Charming has decided that in the near future he will create his own foundation that will be dedicated to the blind and children suffering from heart dieses. SoufSide growing up in South Dallas fatherless would like to continue to set a great example for young men that may not know what direction their future is headed. These two gentlemen have showed tremendous heart and responsibility for their craft. “Once you have experienced success that you would not have imaged, now is not the time to slack off, but better it is time to push that much harder”. They have showed strong determination especially with the uncertainty of how things would turn out with out the other three members of the group. At the end of the day each person can learn a lot from these two, if all else fails believe in yourself and the things that you can accomplish.
