The success may seem to have come quickly for this Shreveport, Louisiana native, but this has been a long time in the making for DJ ASAP. By the age of 15 ASAP and his family had found their way to Dallas, Texas. At the same time as ASAP was getting introduced to the city he realized his strong passion for music. There was always a musical influence in ASAP’s life, with his father being a very well known Deejay and radio Personality in Louisiana. Working as a business man was something that ASAP had foreseen for his future never did he imagine that this musical passion would lead to him following in his father’s footsteps. Timbaland, Missy, and Puff Daddy were the initial musicians to inspire this new musical passion of ASAP’s. Those artists at the time had all clubs and airwaves jumping. In Texas, artist such as, Michael “5000” Watts, Paul Wall and UGK were at the forefront, which would prove to have a major influence on the kinds of music that ASAP would grow accustom to. That point on, ASAP became a connoisseur of music. He spent time daily in Guitar Center learning and getting familiar with all the equipment he would soon have to purchase.
Swiftly the time arrived. At the age of 19 ASAP would get his first real opportunity to deejay in front of a crowd. Like any first event there is always likes and dislikes with many lessons learned. The promoter for the event had tremendous faith in the talent that DJ ASAP possessed; he repeatedly received call backs to come and dj. As time passed ASAP became more persistent in perfecting his craft, and learning different tricks that would keep the crowds involvement. Radio Deejay, DJ TDK also helped to groom ASAP, teaching him the fundamental basics of scratching and mixing. Once ASAP has acquired the basic knowledge of how to deejay, he was back rocking parties.
Now 4yrs from his start ASAP has played for the big premier clubs and the exclusive underground favorites of the southwest region for celebrities along with corporate events. ASAP’s events include: 97.9 The Beat Custom Car Show, Texas Urban Music Summit, Sprite- Step off Tour, 2010 BET Spring Bling and more. He has also spun at events for Dallas Cowboys Annual Rookie vs. Veteran Challenge, Dallas Mavericks Josh Howard, Keith Davis of the New Orleans Saints, New York Yankees Trent Shelton; musical artist range from acts such as: Soulja Boy, Monica, Nas, Tank, Snoop Dogg, Drake, Play-N-Skillz, and a plethora of other artist.
ASAP is emerging now as one of the most sought after Deejay’s in the southwest region. He is steadily taking his career to new heights. “I love the feeling of dj’ing in the club atmosphere, because everything is so raw and unpredictable. The response I get from the people always motivates me to be better and try new music and tricks. I don’t look at myself just as a DJ, but more as an entertainer and that’s what you get with me ENTERTAINMENT!” ASAP intends on expanding to more Top 40 songs, because he would like to make his dj’ing a reflection of himself. As well ASAP plans to capitalize on the journey that he is taking as the official Tour DJ for Sprite Step –Off for the Southwest region.
This is just the beginning for this innovative, funny and persistent young deejay. “It never stops for me; I live and breathe this industry”. ASAP plans on one day making that venture over into radio personality. As for now ASAP is living by his name and making sure to “Always Serve A Purpose”!

Bricks da Franchise
Motivated and wanting nothing else since the age of 8, Bricks (Nee Han Glenn), has always known that the music industry was in his destiny. Growing up on the Westside of Louisville Kentucky in Southwick projects (Lang Homes). Bricks ran the streets and got involved in a lot of the street activity, but he always kept his mind on the prize, the “music”. With his father non-existent and mother having her own concerns and demons to workout, Bricks gravitated to those with his same interests.
At age 16, Bricks really began to give his all to his talent, and soon he caught the attention of his cousin, local entrapaneur Terron Toney. Toney, created a group of four young men called “Brick Gang” and they put out self titled mix tape that sold over 3500 copies. Unfortunately, this group did not have the chance to optimize their talent, because just like so many other youth that grow up in a rough neighborhood/ projects their futures are often very bleak. This fell true for the members of “Brick Gang”, with the exception of Bricks. Bricks felt that this was a sign and a blessing that he, out of all the members still remained able to pursue his first choice of career. Often times when money is desperately needed, young men seek out hustling “drug dealing” as a way of monetary compensations, but while others made excuses of why they chose that lifestyle, Bricks didn’t he accepted the fact that, “even as poor as I was, I knew that selling drugs was not the easiest way out, but the hardest”. From this point on, Bricks sought out his solo adventure and hasn’t looked back since.
Capitalizing off of the buzz that “Brick Gang” had already created, Bricks dropped his solo mixtape “Draft Day”, which surprisingly sold over 5000 copies. These successes lead to a steady stream of other songs such as “My Baby” and “My Buzz”. It wasn’t until 2006, when Bricks released “Heel Toe” that national radio airplay and labels started to recognize this young Kentucky talent. Labels such as Sony, J. Records, Universal, and Jive all came with offers, but it wasn’t his time and based on the deals that were being offered to him, he still had work to do. To create a more substantial market value Bricks continuously dropped mix tapes, like “65 South” alongside Dj Whitney. More hits have emerged from this driven young man like ”MySpaceMyPlace" and “Rubber band” with over 25,000 downloads on MySpace. “Rubberband”, is now beginning to fall into radio rotation.
Brick’s draws inspiration from legends in the game such as Souljah Slim, 2Pac, Jay-Z, and Eminem. Guys that have created trends that Bricks intends to follow, which is balance. Balance or the ability to adapt is something that is very important. “All that bashing the next man for the type of music that they choose to create is not my thing, because at the end of the day it’s about what sound is profitable at the time”.
Consistency is everything to Bricks “you are only as hot as your last song”, so it is very important that the music is always available and on hand, and not to mention, H.O.T! Bricks realized that the mentality that he once had growing up in Southwick, was narrow minded and negative in nature. With this in mind he used that to fuel his desire to put the Kentucky stamp on the map for music.
Even as a young man who made it out the struggle, and would most likely be seen as a role model for youth, Bricks doesn’t agree. “ I could never think of myself as a role model, except for my son, because there are so many things that I have done in a negative light that I would never want to pass on”. It would be safe to say that all young men coming from the “hood” can draw inspiration from Bricks journey. Even when all of his friends were getting locked up, and facing consequences for their actions, Bricks never lost the drive or hunger to be successful.
This fooly, motivated and opinionated “King of Kentucky”, is now looking forward to all that the music business has for him. He is now focused on loving his son and pushing his new record “Fooly Wayne”. Listen to his music… and the next time you think of Kentucky, you’ll also think of BRICKS!

Bridgett H.
Aspiring to inspiring has become the life story of Bridgett H. Bridgett is a true example that being a product of your environment is no excuse for change not to exist. Limits are only the ones you allow to hold you back. Bridgett was raised by her grandmother due to the fact that both her mother and father were dope feins. Life is definitely what you make it, “my life was not rough, but it certainly wasn’t easy”.
After her grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, Bridgett moved into the Bon Ton Turner Courts/projects with her mother. This made her feel really grateful because she was now surrounded by other children who were going through the same thing with their parents, so she didn’t feel so alone. Still she wasn’t in the best situation, but she continued to make the best out of it.
Around this time Bridgett realized that she had a passion for styling hair. Skyline High School had the best cosmetology program in Dallas, but because Bridgett did not have the grades she was not able to attend the school. This would not deter her from her dreams as soon as she graduated from high school she enrolled into beauty school. This proved that Bridgett had the passion for a greater life. As you cross one hurdle, there is always a few more to get over, Bridgett became pregnant and at the same time she lost her father to murder. Because of his relevance in the drug community Bridgett and her mother feared their lives, so they relocated to Duncanville, TX. This took Bridgett to an all new level in her life, she realized that time was of the essences and if she wanted something she had to seriously work for it now.
In 1996 she had the opportunity to meet the teacher of Spud Beauty Salon, where she was later employed. This environment was a true test to see if Bridgett could adapt to her new surroundings. The salon brought a sense of class that she had not been surrounded by, but the people in the salon did not judge her. Ms. Brenda an employee of the salon took Bridgett under her wing and simply talked to her and explained the appearance that was expected and helped her to grow as an individual. Bridgett would work there for 2 ½ yrs.
After leaving Spud beauty Salon Bridgett was introduced to a guy name Patrick who became her educational trainer in the industry. From this she had the chance to travel all around the United States to conferences that would help better her as a stylist. One day in 2006, once she had returned back to Dallas she was walking out of a Sally’s store and she seen a tall guy walking and approached him and gave him a business card. Little did she know that this was upcoming video director Boomtown. 15 min later after their introduction he gave her a call and offered a gig to style on his video shoot with UGK (Pimp C and Bun B), along with Mike Jones. Now at the time Bridgett was not completely ready as a stylist, but it was an opportunity to learn and something that she just could not pass up. A few months later after not really hearing much from Boomtown she contacted him, and once again he had a job for her and this time she would show up and show out. Those opportunities with Boomtown are the ones that offered a tremendous amount of on hand experience. Not to mention that she had the opportunity to work closely with celebrities. Ever since then Bridgett has been continuously making a name for herself.
Now the proud owner of Artistry Bar Professional Hair stylist/Make-up artist, it’s now time to start “setting trends for the future”. As a Stylist Bridgett’s inspiration is everything color, from the pop of a lip color to a streak of color in your hair. Bridgett’s ultimate goal in styling is for each client to walk into a room and to become center of attention just by their presence. She offers the complete package of image consulting; and can take you from 0-100%.
She has now had the privilege to style acts such as: Angela and Vanessa Simmons, Mya, Keyshia Dior, Rosa Acosta, Rocsi (106&Park), Porsha Coleman…and many more! For Bridgett the journey has just begun. She is proud to say that she has closed the door of the past and opened a new and fresh door to the future, her children. Bridgett is thrilled that her children will never has to suffer like she had to growing up, and they have great opportunities to look forward to because of the door she has opened for them.
This Determined, Outspoken, but yet humbled Wonder Woman has continuously proven that anything is possible if you stay persistent and Praise God. Bridgett is now balancing out being a parent and business owner. In the meantime Bridgett is looking for foundations to become a part of, while in Atlanta, GA a little girl approached Bridget and said, “I want to be a make-up artist” and right there on the spot Bridgett offered her the opportunity to help out on a set that she was working on. These are the things that Bridgett lives for, a chance to inspire those who can appreciate her craft as a Hair Stylist and Make-Up Artist. This is an Artistry that stands out like no other.

All though his name is Money his Journey from where he began to where he is now is simply priceless. While most kids at the age of 15, were just entering high school and enjoying their friends, Bernard “Money” Nuar , was homeless living on the Dallas, TX streets of Harry Hines. He was in and out of Juvenile Homes, and the only thing that could ever keep his sanity was getting money. “Money made me, I didn’t make it (money)”, and it isn’t until now that Bernard is realizing his worth.
While on the streets Money was surrounded by pimps, prostitutes and drug dealers. Though not a reasonable place for a young man to be, it was where he was left. Where often one so young would get devoured in these streets in the mid 90’s Money was quickly taking off with what he was seeing and learning. Hotels were run by Arabs who weren’t worried about identification they just wanted the “money”. Quickly Money realized he was alone and to be what he was destined to be he would have to find the means. Unlike many people who may get satisfied with their present achievements, not Money. He kept on finding different avenues that would continuously put more space between his body and the pavement. Life is not always easy, but those with persistence and faith always get to see the rewards that it brings.
Pushing forward with life and trying to squeeze every bit of success out of it, Money opened a club in West Texas at the age of 19. Shortly after opening the club Money would start a 3 T-Mobile franchises in the Dallas Fort Worth and Abilene area. It wouldn’t be too much longer before Money was off on his next success adventure. Having become a conasuierer of jewelry being trained by one of the best in the business, Ron Sothers from North Dakota. Money learned the Diamond business becoming a diamond broker literally within months Ron spoke of how he had trained hundreds and there was only two who he trained who mastered the business, Money being one of them.
In 2006, Money would realize his true passion in this world, is his ability to lyrically send a message out about the struggles in life and the joys. Producers and hustling partners of his kept pushing Money to rap for yrs and finally Money Militia was formed, it was conformed of a group of individuals from different walks of life. Money would get the chance to prove his self in the Texas Summer conference, which didn’t pan out to good, but the potential that he has was hard to look past. With local hits like “Hot Damn”, “Yummy”, “Get it on”, “Texas Shit”, and “Boss Lady”, Money’s future in this industry is nothing less than promising.
Money is now working on a documentary about his life as the “Under Dog”, and continues to strive for success each and every day. To Bernard Nuar the ultimate measure of success right now is how he can touch a child’s life that may be in the same situation that he was once in. Having no family or a real role model to look up to, Money wants to be the flame that ignites others. He knows how easy it is to get caught up in the wrong things and lead onto the wrong path. Money wishes that he could have had someone to truly look up to when he was younger, but nonetheless the path that he has taken has been just as sweet. Coming from nothing and working for everything has been a true blessing from the lord that Money will never take for granted. He is a true role model for his son, and other youth.
You can bet your money, that this is only the beginning for this young entrepreneur, in addition to be a franchise owner, Diamond Broker, and Artist, Money plans on one day owning his own Hotel Chain and Clothing Line.

DJ Kayotik
Growing up in Queens, NY, in a single family home Kayotik’s (Kareem Thomas) adult life started early at the age of 15. With his mother just making enough to provide for him, working was something all too familiar for this young man. Having always had the drive to shoot for success the only thing is that he now had to find his passion, and in 2000 he realized that an international deejay is something that he would thrive to be. Still so young it wouldn’t be until 2008 when the opportunities would roll in.
Now 2 ½ years later when you hear the name DJ Kayotik, the first thought that goes through your mind is “Video Mixer and DJ”, “Hype-Man” or “K104.” And let’s not forget the official DJ for the Dallas Cowboys. Whatever the initial thought might have been, Kayotik has branded his name throughout the clubs and radio airwaves, and now is referred to as “The People’s Host”
Better yet just call him the "Do-It-All" of the entertainment industry. He specializes in all aspects of the entertainment industry including marketing and promotions. Aside from being a professional, entrepreneur and amazingly talented, Kayotik is also very compassionate. Besides all of his services that he offers, he also offers his time. Kayotik is a man of his community and any time that he can give back, he is sure to be doing so. He consistently travels to different schools to talk to children about the importance of an education and how being a DJ has inspired his life. All of the success that Kayotik has accomplished “it would be nothing if he couldn’t touch a child’s life”, that probably had no idea what they wanted to be when they grew up. In addition to giving his time, Kayotik has organized “The Kayotik Foundation”,(Kareem’s Alternative Youth Options To Improve Kids), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving quality of life for youth by focusing on the issues of literacy and self-esteem.
This only child will never limit himself to just one job in the entertainment industry, because there are so many ways to touch someones life. Kayotik’s next goal is to become a producer so that he may further expand ways to musically inspire individuals.
When you hear DJ Kayotik say “LET’S GO” or “YALL KNOW WHAT IT IZ” you know he's ready to rock. From K104’'s Summer Jam to his Annual Celebrity Birthday Weekend, Celebrity Basketball Games, Charitable events and parties; DJ Kayotik has the energy to rock any crowd.

SoufSide and Prince Charming
The GS Boyz (explicit G-Spot Boyz), emerged onto the Pop/ Rap scene in 2005, as five new young artist, Prince Charming (Matthew Griffith), SoufSide (Telson Flowers), Slizz (Keithian Cherry), Marc D (Marcus Dinkins), and DK (Decory Kenner). With regional success of hits, “Hit the G-Spot”, “Twisted”, “He Don’t Deserve You”, and “First Time”, ultimately lead to the 2009 Debut Single “Stanky Legg” as part of the Dallas “D-Town” Boogie Scene. Receiving great notoriety and being able to travel across the U.S., by March 2010 there stood only two, SoufSide and Prince Charming. Accepting the opportunity that God had blessed them with and ready to move forward with their careers these two guys felt a lack of ambition and drive from the other three members and therefore decided to separate themselves and roll “2 Deep”. Now re-emerging into the hip hop industry as a duo, SoufSide and Prince Charming have a whole new story to tell from a new standpoint.
SoufSide, the youngest of the duo, 19 yrs old, but you would never know by his opinionated stance of the world and of the entertainment industry. Born in Amarillo, TX and moved to Dallas, TX at the age of 5 SoufSide grew up with a rough child hood to say the least. School seemed to never be a real focus of his, and similar to most young African American men SoufSide was slowly approaching the wrong path. To this day “I am still a work in progress”, but with time this young man will be everything that embodies greatness. Progress did not seem to be in the near future until the day that SoufSide met Prince Charming in the mall.
Prince Charming, (21), stands out with locks hanging shoulder length and the previous leader of the GS Boys creating the dance (Stanky Legg) that inspired the hit record that would help strengthen the Dallas dance movement. Born and raised in New York until 9yrs of age, Prince has been inspired by many of the great movements that have come from New York. For instance the original Bay Boy movement that had the world in awe is something that has Prince so driven to make sure that he stays hungry for this industry. Now branching out as a duo and re-branding their image the hunger that they once had has doubled and they understand the strength and faith that they must put in God.
Together as a duo these two guys are so in sync. Although each have their own views on life and what they want to accomplish individually, the dreams of Soufside and Prince Charming as a duo are one. They have both agreed that “the next step will be a great step”, in their career. Being apart of film is their next aspiring goal, and with these two huge personalities this dream is not far fetched. With their career still in its early stages their main focus is to remain humble and remember where they came from.
Prince Charming has decided that in the near future he will create his own foundation that will be dedicated to the blind and children suffering from heart dieses. SoufSide growing up in South Dallas fatherless would like to continue to set a great example for young men that may not know what direction their future is headed. These two gentlemen have showed tremendous heart and responsibility for their craft. “Once you have experienced success that you would not have imaged, now is not the time to slack off, but better it is time to push that much harder”. They have showed strong determination especially with the uncertainty of how things would turn out with out the other three members of the group. At the end of the day each person can learn a lot from these two, if all else fails believe in yourself and the things that you can accomplish.

Foe Letterz
Have you ever had a dream and felt like there was no market for you in your hometown, well that is exactly how Charles “Foe Letterz” Dou felt growing up in Alexandria Louisiana. Born August 31, 1984 in a town still filled with so much racism, and being harassed everyday by cops. If black people are not accepted than certainly you can not expect for their music to be played. Life comes with so many tribulations that one must surpass to understand their real purpose.
At the age of 6yrs old Foe Letterz realized that he had a talent in rapping, but never really explored the opportunity of possibly having a career in the entertainment industry. This was definitely due to the lack of inspiration there in his community. Luckily for this young man he possessed more than one talent. With his tall and lanky frame basketball would come to be what he was known for. Accomplishing many goals in basketball during high school, the real test was if he could get his grades right to further his career in basketball.
Unfortunately like so many young men, he saw the “glory” of the streets, and lost his way. Foe Letterz tried to continue to give school a real chance and he attended a year of school at Southern University. He soon realized after that year that school was not in his destiny, at that point in his life. The most important thing to do at this time was to get his mind right and focus on what he would do with his life. Like so many of us do when we are reflecting on our lives we reach back into the things that once made us so happy, without the monetary fulfillment and for Foe Letterz this was music.
Now at the age of 18yrs old the time to get serious with the music was now. Leaving school only a year in and the life of the streets so enticing Foe Letterz was so determined not to continue down the wrong path. A year later Foe Letterz would have the opportunity to move to Dallas, TX where the music industry was just now starting to jump off after a few years in the dark. This would be the chance that he was looking for, seeing that Dallas has two major hip hop radio stations that could back him in his music.
Foe Letterz in now working in the studio daily, to make sure that he does not disappoint his city. “I am just trying to stay humble, and out of the streets, music saved me”. He is now working on multiple singles that will have an impact on this industry and not just blend in. Of course living a life with so many stepping stones it would be nothing if he couldn’t give back. The Boys and Girls Club is Foe Letterz first volunteer outlet, because he knows how important it is for children to stay busy. There are so many influencers out there that children rather pay attention to, but if they can see someone in a position that they may want to aspire to be in; helping them out it may totally change the direction of there life for the better.
Foe Letterz draws inspiration from Michael Jordan. No matter what professional avenue you take, Jordan showed practice makes close to perfect and persistence helps people see the greatness in you. This is what you can expect to see from Foe Letterz. Life has not always been easy for him but his persistence in life is making it that much easier for him to see greatness in his experiences.

Danesha Styles
Every so often you find that one person who has had a dream from the time that they even knew what dreams were and still they are in pursuit to live them out. From the time that Danesha Styles was 3 yrs old she knew that singing was in her destiny. Music is in her blood with her uncle playing for James Brown the influence was already there. The church also played a very substantial role in her life as well; this would be where Danesha got her first chance to wow a crowd. Nothing is more uplifting than feeling that you have pleased the people of God.
At 8yrs old Danesha and a few other school girls formed a cafeteria group called B.A.D. These young girls had voices like no other. The students would come over to their table and request to hear different songs. It’s no wonder these girls didn’t starve, with all the singing that went on during lunch. There is such a passion behind any person who at the age of 8yrs can get in front of a group of peers and sing out their souls.
In 2004 Danesha decided to re-locate to Dallas, TX to help her cousin get her company off the ground, unfortunately her mother became sick and she wanted to return to Kentucky to be there. In 2008, her mother passed and from that point on the drive and passion that Danesha once obtained doubled because she was now doing this for her mother. Danesha’s mother had become her inspiration and now, “when I take off it’s gonna be like a rocket”.
By 2009 she was now living in Dallas full time and continuously pursuing her dream as a R&B/ Pop singer her goal is to “not drop the ball, and to be that guiding light”. Danesha is now working on her single “Take Off” which is to be released very soon. Drawing inspiration from artist such as Beyonce, this diva is already showing how well rounded of an artist she is.
Danesha makes a conscious and active effort to remain in the church to help to inspire young people to use their voices, because it is the strongest weapon anyone can posses. Singing is not her only gift, but so is writing. She has written all of her songs and plans on making that her next career move. This is just one more way to remain a well rounded artist. When listening to her music you can expect a more mature, futuristic sound with lots of depth. Danesha is able to draw from her experiences in life whether it is from the loss of her mother, or even referencing back to that 3yr who had the courage to sing in front of the entire church. She definitely has a story to tell.
This outgoing, confident, and humble woman is everything that R&B/ Pop has been missing. The spunk but yet the coolness of her personality will make you anxious to hear the words that she sings. “To know me is to love me”, and that’s definitely an understatement.
